In Wānaka, the view is the reason for the deck. The balustrade around it should stay out of the way.
Installed by UNEX Authorised Fabricator Viewtec, this project features the UNEX Spectra Framed Glass Balustrade. Glass panels span between slim aluminium posts with no bottom rail, creating a clean, contemporary finish that keeps sightlines open and uninterrupted.
Spectra combines minimalist design with engineered strength, providing a practical balustrade solution for elevated decks and outdoor living spaces. Designed to meet relevant NZ Building Code loading requirements when correctly specified and installed, the system delivers safety without compromising the surrounding views.
The result is a modern, understated balustrade that complements the architecture while allowing Wānaka's landscape to take centre stage.
